Whats New With SLAM?
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Changes in SLAM v.1.5 Beta to v.1.6 Beta:
- Fixed problem with the PATH parameter. It should now find your files,
wherever you specify them to be. The previous release would exit on an
error, due to the fact that SLAM could not find a .MSG file it needed
to continue. This problem should now be fixed.
- I apologise for the screw-up with the WHATSNEW file in 1.05, I mistakenly
placed the RENAME Whatsnew file in the SLAM archive. Woops.. :-)
- In case you haven't already figured it out, SLAM no longer supports
SLRENAME (c) Glen Johnson. Glen went out of his way to make a simple
program difficult and repulsive, so I have chosen to DISCONTINUE
SLRENAME support. If you are currently using SLRENAME and are happy with
it, I encourage you to pick up RENAME from me...it blows the doors off
SLRENAME, and is MUCH simpler to configure and operate. It is also
COMPLETELY Free.
Changes in SLAM v.1.6 Beta to v.1.7 Beta:
- Fixed the INCORRECT Alias & Name write to the Alias.Def file that
SL uses. I had SLAM writing them in the wrong order, making Alias.Def
useless. It now writes the Real and Alias names in the correct order,
allowing SL to make use of the Alias.Def file properly.
Changes in SLAM v.1.7 Beta to v.1.8 Beta:
- Added DUPLICATE alias name checking. The user is now notified that
"another user is already using that alias, please enter another".
- Removed CTRL-BREAK lock-out and tidied up alot of the code. SLAM
shouldn't hang now when a user RUDELY hangs-up in the program.
